The day started off with rain, but it would not dampen Katie & Mario’s excitement. With eagerness and HUGE smiles on their faces, they entered the Basilica of the Sacred Heart. The sun came out at a perfect time and only began to rain again as they drove to their reception.
Katie had the most beautiful lace dress with perfect beaded and crystal accent shoulder straps that didn’t need any additional jewelry. She was the most beautiful woman in the room, hands down. So beautiful that Mario couldn’t contain himself when the doors to vestibule were slowly opened and his bride ascended. He was the luckiest man in the world and he knew it.
One of my favorite things about their ceremony is the way they continued to look at one another. With excitement and happiness, they were finally becoming Husband and Wife. Â It was a moment that they were blessed enough to experience with her family from California and his Grandparents that came from Lebanon. How cool is that?!?
The elegance and laughter that they carried these throughout their day also carried into their reception. With unexpected twists to their floral arrangements, they had a beautiful and neutral color palette that was accented with tiny little blueberry like pods. The light poured in, even after the rain came pouring down again, as they danced into the evening. It was also no surprise that this wedding rarely had anyone leave the dancefloor. Some of the crowd favorites with Backstreet Boys, NSync & a few songs that celebrated Mario’s Lebanese heritage. It was such a wonderful night and I had so much fun documenting it for their families.
