What started out as a great friendship, turned into a love that I can only describe as being picturesque. The way Brian looks at Katie is the way every little girl fantasizes about how her prince will one day look at her. It’s a way that captures your heart and tells you, “this love is for real”. When I finally got to meet them in person at the beginning of May, I became overflowed with joy to photograph their wedding as I watched them interact with one another and felt their joyful spirits. It was then, that I knew their wedding was going to be a blast.
A blast it was. These two handled the day with grace and devotion, which will only set their marriage up for success. Keeping an eye on the forecast was essential as we moved throughout their timeline, but once it started to rain, Katie & Brian embraced it and created such beautiful moments that I can’t wait for you to scroll through.
I LOVED how the bridesmaids were so excited for the bride. They couldn’t contain their emotions when they watched Katie get into her dress.
The Daddy-Daughter First Look is my favorite. I just love seeing the dad’s face when he sees his little girl for the first time in her wedding gown.
The rain was on our side when we walked from the Morris Inn to the Basilica. It really was the perfect day.
Most of the groomsmen were dorm-mates so, naturally, a photo in front of the dorm on the way to get married was necessary.
Brian’s excitement in this picture is everything.
Admiring every bit of Katie, including her stunning pearl bracelet. This image just embodies his infatuation over his new wife.
They couldn’t get enough of their first kiss. So much so, they had about 4. I loved their reaction afterward when their guests were giggling at them.
One of my favorite images Chris takes at a wedding. It’s so powerful, ethereal and symbolic of the couple’s life together.
Chris couldn’t help himself and had to grab a few portraits of the couple before he headed to the Morris Inn for cocktail hour.
This bridal party was awesome.. They did a great job with the rain. This is the perfect mantle piece.
I feel like I want to be each of these girl’s best friend. They were amazing all day.
It’s no wonder why Brian keeps these guys around, they had him laughing all day.
One of my favorites from the day. I love creating art pieces for my clients.
This has to be my favorite image I took all day. It was a collaborative piece that Brian requested for the background and then we worked together to encompass the joy, excitement and fun their wedding had. I can’t stop looking at it.
How cute are these wedding favors Katie & Brian had sitting out for their guests? I loved them.
Merry Me Events nailed this wedding. Simple and yet so pretty.
I cry a lot, but I didn’t expect to cry to an NSync song. Oh yes, these two serenaded one another to the most perfect NSync song for their day, “This I Promise You”. I really hope one of the guests got this on video because it was just beautiful.
Hey Jimmy Band had 95% of the crowd out on the dance floor.
Notre Dame Alumni, but I think the baby is a future. 🙂
