Recently, I had a conversation with Chris regarding wanting more Groom’s details. If you have read through the Bride Prep series I just finished up, the Bridal Prep & Groom Prep are heavy on the opposites. For instance, I posted about how I feel like there are WAY more candids of the Groom Prep than the Bride Prep. The Groom’s details are easily the equivalent of the Bride’s Candid images. So…Since I have challenged the Bride’s to help me step this up and help us to create a better balance to their wedding story, let’s also challenge the Groom with their details.
Here are some common details that most Groom’s generally already have for their wedding:
- Suit Jacket on a hanger (doesn’t have to be fancy, but let’s try to have one that isn’t plastic)
- If you have custom-made suit, the personalized details of the suit
- Tie
- Cuff Links
- Handkerchief
- Shoes
- Watch
- Wedding Gift from the Bride
- Note from the Bride
- Handwritten Vows
I realize most of these could be labeled with a side mark of “when applicable”.
A lot of times, this isn’t going to be possible because the Groom chooses to have Chris arrive at the church. Chris usually takes this opportunity to “stage” the Groom putting his tie, vest & jacket on. This is completely fine. He usually takes more of a “details with life” approach to this.
