This part of the Nautical/Tropical Inspired shoot is my favorite. We originally were going to do this part on the beach, but the box truck could get close enough. Improvising, MichaelAngelo’s Events found this beautiful cliff over-looking Lake Michigan on a private estate. Laura & Candice were setting up while we were stilling photographing at the Maritime Museum. When we walked up, I could’ve cried. I could imagine it was the same feeling a bride gets when she finally gets to see her reception after months/years of planning and decision making. I was in complete awe of the oranges, teals and navy/white stripes. It was everything I ever want.
The only guideline I gave Laura and her team at MichaelAngelo’s Events was that I wanted orange, teal and navy/white stripes. I had no idea she would give me paradise. I was OBSESSED with the Pincushion Protea, Birds of Paradise, Cattleya and Phalaenopsis Orchids, along with succulents, Airplants, and lush greens which were combined with textural ghost wood for a look reminiscent of the natural coastline. It was literally the perfect little setting for an intimate cliff-side wedding.

I HAD to highlight this hair piece MichaelAngelo’s Events did for Devren’s beautiful long brown hair.
