They met 6 years ago through a group of mutual friends. It was then that William began to prepare himself for the rest of his life with Courtney. How could he not? Courtney is the kind of girl that keeps the conversation effortless, free and inviting. It didn’t take Courtney long to fall in love with Will either. He has the type of commitment and dedication that is rare.
With their friends and family by their side, they exchanged their vows in the beautiful Basilica of the Sacred Heart cathedral on Notre Dame campus. It was subtle, but I loved how they represented the colleges they went too by incorporating William’s alma mater Notre Dame navy blue and Courtney’s Indiana University Bloomington crimson red. It was the perfect combination of colors that represented two becoming one.
Throughout the day, it became very obvious just how important friends and family is to both Courtney and Will. From having all 14 of their bridal party follow them around campus (and onto the football field) to Will dancing with his grandmother to a very special Frank Sinatra dance. I may have lost it at that moment. It was the perfect selfless act that embodies the kind of man that Will.
To Courtney & William, getting to know you over the last year has been a blessing. You are such an amazing couple and I wish you all the best as you begin your life together!
This was probably my favorite sermon I’ve heard. The priest asked each of them what their favorite gifts were that the other had given to them. William loved the Bears tickets she got him and Courtney loved that he popped out of a box to surprise her one day. His point was that it’s never the gift that we love, it’s the thought from the loved one that gave it to us. LOVED that!!
This is where we play “Where Katie?” Haha!! I love this overall shot that Chris gets at every wedding. I could NEVER get tired of photographing in the Basilica of the Sacred Heart.
This is my favorite flower shot, EVER!
This is their excited face. Some get more excited than others, some mean mug me and tell me I’m crazy.
There is nothing about this image that doesn’t scream Courtney & Will, except that Will was the only one that went to Notre Dame/Holy Cross.. Everyone else went to IU and such. BUT!!! This perfectly resembles the importance of their friendships.
CANVASES!!!! That’s all I’m saying.
I don’t think I’ll ever get over how gorgeous the Basilica of Sacred Heart is. Looks like an absolutely wonderful wedding!
