Portraits with your loved one, whether that’s being newly engaged on the campus that you met or an anniversary session in the city you are building your lives together, is an important stage in your relationship and should be documented.
Your first step is to choose the season you want to photograph your session. You probably already have an idea of a season that works best for your busy schedule, especially if you are traveling or are in Grad School.
Choosing your location is a personal choice. Whether it’s where you met or where you are building a life together. There is no wrong answer.
I always recommend at least 3-4 outfits to give you options. The key is to make sure your wardrobe fits your personality and coordinates.
I know you’re busy and maybe even a little overwhelmed. Instagram and Pinterest have probably given you decision paralysis on where to even begin with your session planning process.
To ensure I am able to customize your experience, I will have a planning meeting with you to go over every aspect of your session. From helping you to choose the right season and the perfect location to helping you make sure your wardrobe is impeccable. My work is about you and your vision. Helping you get to that vision and staying true to who you are is my priority.
I have over 18 years of experience organizing and executing flawless sessions for my clients. Engagement sessions, in particular, are a great way to loosen up in front of the camera and really begin your journey as a couple. My attention to detail and dedication to anticipating your every need is where I shine. By hiring me to photograph your session you are getting an elevated, unparalleled client experience that no one else can give you.

“Katie was very organized and easy to work with. We had so much fun with her taking photos along Lake Michigan and downtown Chicago.”
