I'm a wedding photographer based out of South Bend, Indiana.

I believe in always having a vase full of fresh flowers, especially during peony season. That ending a long day should always be on the patio, with a good book and a glass of rosé. And, going to the beach is always a good idea.

Saturday evening decided to be quite the adventure for this couple. It started out with beautiful clear, sunny skies when we drove into Michigan for their engagement session and then it decided to rain. But, even then, it couldn’t make up it’s mind what kind of rain it wanted to be : cold, drizzle, coming in from the side, or snow. Yes, I said snow. None of these weather hiccups seemed to stop Alex & Blake from continuing their session and just working with it.

Alex is, I swear, my twin. I won’t tell you all of the details of the wedding, you’ll have to wait until August 2014, but what I will tell you is that I find myself begging inside “please, please, PLEASE let me shoot your wedding.” These two are such a great couple and their effortless love is exactly what I look for in my clients. What was even better was the way Blake adored her. As you can see, while they were on the boat (and I was on another), I just let them do what they do and they did it perfectly. Almost as if they were reading my mind. It was great! I can’t wait for the big day to come around, Merry Me Events will have a TON of fun putting the final touches on this one.
