I'm a wedding photographer based out of South Bend, Indiana.

I believe in always having a vase full of fresh flowers, especially during peony season. That ending a long day should always be on the patio, with a good book and a glass of rosé. And, going to the beach is always a good idea.

Hi, I'm
Katie

These days, it’s not uncommon for couples to get engagement portraits done. Yet, I still receive questions almost weekly if it’s a good idea. I began writing these questions down and decided to create this ultimate guide for your consideration.

What is an engagement session?

A couple getting their photographs taken at a location that means something to them prior to their wedding.

How long is it?

Generally 60-90 minutes.

How much does it cost?

Sessions are free with your wedding collection. On it’s own they are $350 and include the time and digital images. Travel fees may apply.

How many photos do we get?

The average session ends with 115 images. My goal is to go through all 37 of my poses and I try to get 3 variations of each of those poses.

Why do an engagement session?

The session is a great way to get to know your photographer, but for me, I love getting to see how my clients interact with one another. It allows me to understand who you are as a couple and as individuals so that on the day of your wedding, I can capture you authentically. The bonus of doing a session is that you will have the chance to let me know your favorite images and which ones are less than ideal.
