It started with two hearts helping people who didn’t have much or anything at all. They were volunteering at the Center for the Homeless of South Bend. Everyone that was at the volunteer orientation ended up going for Pizza & Beer at Corby’s to get to know one another. Maybe it wasn’t strategically planned by Katie, but she sure interested Wade when she said she’d never been to the Linebacker. The group decided to go together that weekend, which happened to be Valentine’s Day. Well played, Katie, well played.
Throughout their time dating, Wade has mentioned giving Katie a Ring Pop when he finally proposed to her. So, when Christmas morning came around. As they opened their stockings, she came across a box with a Ring Pop. She told him it was a mean joke, but when she looked up, Wade was down on one knee with the real ring in hand. Well played, Wade, even better played.
Their session was broken up into 2 parts because Katie & Wade originally wanted to do some pictures golfing. We decided to change the location to St Patrick’s Park for a more rustic feel. Later, we headed to the River Lights in Downtown South. None of us had been there before so we had a lot of fun playing with the installation and incorporating them into so many great images.
I can’t wait for their April wedding next year. Hopefully it’ll be warmer than their engagement session. 🙂
