It was the first week of their freshmen year at the University of Notre Dame when a mutual friend of Laura & Kenny’s introduced them. They continue to run into one another through the first semester, but it wasn’t until the second semester that Kenny asked Laura to dinner at the dining hall. Completely oblivious that Kenny really liked her, he continued to ask her for her phone number, to a dance and to Starbucks. While at Starbucks, Laura realized that maybe something was sparkling in Kenny’s eye when he paid for her coffee. Afterward, they walked around the snowy campus and shared their first kiss together.
After being together for 7 years, Laura & Kenny began to talk about marriage and what they wanted for their wedding. As soon as the lines opened on “Basilica Monday”, Laura & Kenny began booking their dream wedding. It wasn’t until a few months later that Kenny finally had the perfect plan to propose to the love of his life. They have a specific spot by the lake that they like to go to. While walking around campus with Laura’s dad & sister, they ended by the grotto. Her family was going to be leaving soon, but Kenny insisted they take their time and really enjoy the time they had together. As they began to walk away from the lake, Kenny suggested going to their spot. As they got closer to their spot, Kenny’s parents and brother came out from behind the log chapel. Right at the time that Laura began to get teary eyed, Kenny asked her father for Laura’s hand in marriage. Then, Kenny got down on one knee and proposed with a gorgeous ring. Of course she said yes!
