Details are by far the #1 item a Bride will get onto Pinterest to research and painstakingly make decisions on. For this reason, alone, I want to make sure that these details are documented on a photographic, artful capacity so that there is a memory of them should anything happen to them.
Let’s start with how much time is needed.
First, I usually request about 30 minutes to document them. This allows me to find the perfect light, set them up to create art, and photograph them.
A lot of Bride’s keep their details pretty minimal, but the average Bride still wants to make sure specific items are documented. Here is a quick list of items you should consider putting into a keepsake box to take with you to the getting ready location so everything is together and ready for me to document:
- The Dress
- The Rings – This should be ALL of them. Oftentimes I have to track down the groom and groomsmen to get the wedding bands and this will limit how many details I can not only take but the quality of the art I can create. I recommend adding them to the box when they are purchased and give your MOH the duty of getting the wedding bands to the appropriate person when it’s time.
- The Shoes
- Garter
- Necklace, Earrings, Bracelet(s)
- Hair Pieces
- Veil
- Save the Dates, Invitations – I would ask for a few extra stems of the main flower being used for your bouquet
- Bouquets
- Boutonnieres
- Something Old, Something Blue, Something Used, Something New – If you have them, I am not seeing these items as much as I use to
