When I first spoke with Abby about her July 2014 wedding over the phone, I knew I just had to photograph it. She is one of those women that when you start talking to her, you instantly feel like she’s your best friend and Michael certainly brought that out of her on Saturday during their engagement session.
Originally, we had planned to meet at the zoo to the butterfly exhibit, the Australian walk through and the goat pit. Well, 2 out of 3 were locked up for the season (I could’ve sworn I had the right dates – fail). So, instead we trampled through their gardens and had one of the zookeepers tell us that if they weren’t so stinkin’ cute, she’d yell at us..
As we moved to the 2nd location, it started to rain a little heavier than it already was so we decided to work with it by and in the river. I am so in love with these images, this is what I love about engagement sessions and you never know what your clients will be surprisingly be up for.
Of course, you can’t have a Notre Dame wedding without hitting campus for at least a few shots. Abby did a great job of making her list of where on campus she wanted to focus on the day of the wedding so that we didn’t have to worry about focusing so much there on the day of their engagement session.
I cannot wait for their wedding. They are so stinkin’ adorable and their love for one another is just inspiring.
