Reviews from my clients and the process it take to be a “Katie Whitcomb Couple”.
She takes all of the stress out of wedding planning, gets to know each couple she shoots individually to capture their unique love story, and creates the most stunning images.
She made our wedding day SO easy, so stress free, so incredible. She is truly one of the most passionate wedding photographers, and it shows in her work. We left our wedding with a great new friend.
while getting all of the amazing shots we wanted from our wedding day. Katie is the best ad takes all the stress out of the day. We are so excited to continue to work with her."
her focus was not just on capturing "must have" shots at the wedding. It was about making our special day as perfect for us as possible-AND then capturing those perfect moments as we would want to remember them.
Once you inquire about your date, I’ll set up a video call to get to know each other. The goal is to make sure we’re a good fit for one another. If you decide to honor me with photographing your wedding day, I’ll send you a contract and invoice for the retainer. Once booked, you will be a valued part of my every day. With the goal of providing you with the luxury experience you deserve.
Most of my couples opt to do an engagement session prior to the wedding. This allows you to get to know me and my process but it also allows me to see how you interact with one another. Whether you choose to do your session in the city, on campus or on a California beach, the location should embody your love story.
We will sit down and really dive deep into your dream wedding and talk about every little detail to ensure I understand your vision to it’s fullest. By no means does this need to only be that final meeting 4 weeks before the wedding. I am here for you every step of the way throughout your planning.
By the time your wedding comes around, I will be living and breathing your vision. Your vision has now become my vision and I will be ready for anything that comes that day. I’m getting giddy even thinking about it and I haven’t even met you yet.
Your heirloom album is the final part of our journey together. Although you’ll receive the digital images, your album is the legacy that you’ll leave behind. I will pre-design an album layout for you. Then, all you have to do is replace certain images to make it your own.
I do! My camera has already taken me from coast to coast. I would love to hear more about the location you are planning for your dream wedding. In fact, I have photographed in Chicago, Cape Cod, Destin, Cleveland and will soon be traveling to Miami & Philadelphia.
Everywhere. But, specifically, I’d love to photograph a wedding in Napa Valley, oceanside in the Florida Keys. One day, maybe I’ll finally make my way to Florence, Italy.
Absolutely not. I understand that your time is valuable and it can be hard to travel for an engagement session. Although I do recommend engagement sessions, it’s not the only way I can get to know you.
This will depend on the events of your day. I typically deliver around 100 images per hour. The more details and the more lively your party, the more images I deliver.
On average, I deliver around 20% black & white images. However, anything I deliver in black & white, there is a color copy as well.
My editing style can be described as true to life. I work endlessly throughout the wedding to keep the editing to a minimum. I will always choose color balances that are right for your skin tones, exposures that are true to how the day looked and contrasts that leave white white and blacks black.
I am known for my lack of fear of the rain. Even in a downpour, I am still able to create one of a kind, beautiful images. During wedding season, my clear umbrellas never leave my trunk. I am always ready for the unexpected.
I do not. However, I am more than happy to help you choose the right company for your vision.
It is natural to want to put together a list of photos and even a visual of your vision. I am a visual person so I am more than happy to take a look at it. However, it should be noted that I only use this as a visual representation of your vision and won’t copy anything I see on it. My goal is always to capture images that are unique to you.
